If your pet's health gets too low or its attacks aren't very effective against a certain combatant, you can always switch out your current pet with another companion on your team. Only pets that are considered active (i.e., those in your three Battle Pet Slots), may be switched in and out during the battle. Once the match is over, you can always change up your active pet team, which is useful if one of your pets is low on health or dead.
Nov 6 are twinks an issue in high level pvp hello i have not played since cat and when i found out accounts were upgraded to the last xpack i started played without a sub. i mainly like to pvp but the 20-29 bracket is won by who has the most twinks so the result is either a slaughter or a carry neither of these are fun for anyone who likes competitive gameplay. i also feel like i have little to no impact on the outcome or outside running flags (if i'm not 3 shoted by a twink). it seems no matter how skilled the player is if you don't have the gear you're not going to do well. anyway is every bracket like this or is this just a issue with 10-19/20-29 brackets? i know 10-19 is unplayable if your not twinked. i'm sorry i didn't sub last xpack it sounded like pvp was better than.Piale3 Nov 6

Nov 9 How to start getting legion artifact weapon? I have no idea where to begin or what the quest line is called. EDIT: I got the fangs of the ashamane and continued 50 quests ahead and I have STILL not found any options on changing my feral form with the weapon equipped. EDIT AgaIN: Okay apparently i'm glitched because i watched a youtube video and you're supposed to get the first skin by default simply for equipping the fangs immediately after turning in the quest. Any suggestions of fixing this annoying glitch? EDIT: I FIXED IT! i had to click a locked skin option... then clock back to the default which was already highlighted... For the duration of the fight, creatures in the immediate area will not be visible to you (but they may still attack you if they wander too close). Keep in mind that other players will still be able to see you and attack you if you are eligible for player vs. player (PVP). Other players will also be able to view your pet battle in real time, including the pets involved as well as their health as the match progresses.
2. Achieving. There are many pet battling achievements in game, and following the natural trail through the Taming [Continent] achievements up to Pandaria, and then on to the Spirit Tamers, Beasts of Fable and the Celestial Tournament was an epic journey for me and for many others. It's well worth doing. The Celestial Tournament is still, IMO, the pinnacle of PvE pet battling. However, WoD and Legion and BfA have added more battling achievements.
Aug 26 Welcome to Warcraft - Frequent Questions Hello all, and welcome to World of Warcraft! This can be a very rewarding game and offers a variety of cool experiences with the chance to meet some interesting folks. We'd all like to extend a hearty welcome to the newest members of our ever-growing community and wish you the best of luck in your gaming experience. Before we get started, one of the first questions you might be asking is why the text of certain posters is in green or blue. Green is because those posters are forum MVPs. They have no special privileges or powers and, besides the text, are in no way different from many posters you might meet on these forums. MVPs are recognized by Blizzard for providing consistently accurate information and helping to maintain a positive atmosphere on the forums. This, of course, does not preclude some of them from being a little snarky and sarcastic at times! You will also notice posters that represent themselves with blue font. These are official representatives that work for Blizzard. They do have the ability to answer many questions and offer some bans when the situation warrants it. More information about these two can be found in the first sticky on the General Forums, as well as links to the forum Guidelines and Code of Conduct: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20749397405 Moving on! While Warcraft can be a very exciting experience, there are likely many questions you will ask along the way and a few problems you might run into. Fear not, for all the people who post in these forums (whether they'd like to admit it or not!) were in the same boat at one point or another. In fact, you might even see some of them come in here and ask questions of their own! Take this as a sign that not everyone knows everything about the game! For your reading ease, the most asked questions will be highlighted in this thread. Blizzard has given us a pile of new information on World of Warcraft Classic, including the fact that it’ll finally release this August. But you won’t have to wait quite that long to start playing for yourself – the WoW Classic beta goes live tomorrow, May 15. This is a closed beta, and Blizzard says it’s pretty limited in scope, but there will be more chances to play heading into the WoW Classic release date.

This Shadow Talent Build is the fastest for Leveling Up a Priest Class from 1-60 in WoW Classic patch 1.12. Spamming Shadow Damage DOTs while kite mobs will be the name of the game with this build, having the ability to sustain your health is just a bonus. You will just need to make sure you are stacking enough spirit so you don’t run out of mana often as that will slow down the levelling process drastically.

Along with revealing the WoW Classic release date, Blizzard also listed plans for both a beta and stress test of the game. Players who opt-in for the testing on their account manager page and have an active subscription will be randomly selected for the beta starting May 15. Then the developer will have three stress tests where players can log in to play the game for a short period of time on the following dates:

Although the Battle Pet Trainer will only offer to teach you your race-specific companion, it is possible to add all of these pets to your collection. You can either find them in your faction’s auction house or you can create a character of the race whose pet you would like to learn. Using your new character, you can seek out any battle pet trainer in major cities. After you learn the pet, you can delete the character; the pet you learned will not be removed from your collection.
You’ll get a small window inside the game with instructions for what you need to do next, every step of the way to 120. You’ll also get a waypoint arrow that points you in the right direction to go at all times. If this sounds extremely convenient, you’re right! Zygor’s leveling guide/addon has completely taken the frustration out of leveling for me, personally. No more reading comments on WoWHead about how to complete quests. No more getting stuck, frustrated and bored with leveling. And no more feeling like WoW takes too much effort.
If you’re eager to claim your character name in WoW Classic, take note: we’ll be opening character creation on Tuesday, August 13.** Players with an active subscription or game time on their account will be able to create up to three characters per World of Warcraft account. We’ll have more information on realm names closer to launch, but rest assured—you’ll have plenty of time to figure out your plans for realm domination!
Why was this downvoted? The swing analogy is horrible. There’s nothing physical that’s going to change when u play the game the exact same way as 04 05 06. The difference is u know what’s going on as opposed to not knowing where anything is. A good analogy would be playing Pokémon red again after beating the elite 4. The game itself won’t be any worse, it just will be easier and maybe less enjoyable if all you enjoyed is the aspect of not knowing where to go. But this is why pvp servers are magical, because each time you level a character, your leveling experience is different based on the encounters that happen while questing. In 05 U may have breezed through stv, but in classic u may spend an hour on a single quest solely because of the competition between factions on that particular quest.

Good question. Me personally, when I use a new strat from somebody else, I always read thru the strat, and in the case I really need to level some pet, I then (likely) exclude strats that are mentioning things like “RNG”, “risk”, etc. But: I’m always happy (when using a new strat) when I see some detailed infos, so that I can estimate what is going to happen. But YMMV.
Earlier this week, Blizzard finally announced a release date for World of Warcraft Classic, a barebones re-release of World of Warcraft long before it was filled with countless expansions. WoW Classic promises a pure, vanilla experience, one that a portion of the World of Warcraft playerbase has been chasing through unsanctioned vanilla servers stripped of various expansions. The game releases on August 27, which, while still a few months away, is still somewhat exciting, seeing as now most fans have an actual date to look forward to.

Kaivax, a WoW forum community manager, revealed that WoW Classic's class design, battleground mechanics and stats on existing items will be set to their 1.12 state, despite the game releasing content that expands beyond that. This removes "progressive itemization," so if the stats on a specific piece of equipment was changed during the original updates, that won't take effect in this version.
Combat is turn-based and there is no time limit on each round in a PVE Pet Battle. You can take your time to determine which spell to use next. Some pet abilities have multiple round cooldowns, while others can do extra damage if certain conditions are met. Be creative and have fun testing which combination of attacks works best against different wild pets!
In player vs. player designated zones, you will still be viewable and attackable by players, but you are not left completely defenseless. While engaged in a Pet Battle, any attack from another player will break you out of the battle. You will receive a 3 second damage shield that will absorb 50% of incoming attacks. The same exact wild pet that you were previously battling will respawn after you come out of combat with the other player. However, if you defeated the primary pet in battle prior to leaving the match, the pet and its team will not respawn.

A new quest will pop up once your first pet reaches level 3. It will send you to either Audrey Burnhep in Stormwind or Varzok in Orgrimmar. These trainers will offer a quest chain to battle specific Pet Tamer NPCs on each continent. Defeating each of these NPCs will reward a nice chunk of experience for your pets, as well a Sack of Pet Supplies (which has the chance to drop the Porcupette companion, among the always-useful pet bandages).
Nov 6 Good kind server to join I am looking for a good server with kind people to join. I am thinking of 1 of the new player servers or moonguard maybe ? I don't like trolls or toxicty and i don't like guilds trying to get me to raid and then get mad when we wipe 4 or 5 times. I also hope for a clean trade chat as well as fresh minds of players who are not brainwashed by the elitist attitude. Any one know of any good servers ? I been playing wow for 14 years on and off but started a new account. It's getting harder to find good people on the internet in mobile games and online PC games. Any help is appreciated thanks.Promonk4 Nov 6
Step-by-step class guides are on the way! The 1-12 Mulgore Guide is the first guide to get all the individual class steps. At the top of the guide, simply select which class you are playing and the page will dynamically update all the steps in the guide for that class (both text and images). The rest of the guides will be slowly updated overtime to include all the class steps, but you can see how it's going to work with the 1-12 Mulgore. I want to thank crazyK and his Placeholderguild for helping me out with the individual class content. They are allowing me to get the 1-60 Alliance guide done while also getting all the class steps done at the same time, so everything can be ready for Classic launch (hopefully).
The vanilla WoW Horde leveling guide you see on this site was originally made back in 2006 by Joana (AKA Mancow, or FuriousPaul). The guides have been tweaked many times over the years to make things "faster". The leveling guides were made because of all the messages I got from people asking me how I was able to level up so quickly on new realms. I was first to level 60 on 7 different realms (3 with Mancow and 4 with Joana), even winning Blizzard's "First to Level 50" contest they held back in 2006.

On March 23, 2018, Zygor Guides announced that they would end support for their ESO guide. Later, via answers given on the forums, they confirmed they would not add a leveling guide for Summerset. Their guide is Public Domain with Zygor's blessing for the community to create guides. So I took it upon myself to create a Summerset guide for the ESO community.
To fill our pool of beta and stress test participants, we’ll be choosing dedicated players who meet select criteria from both the WoW Classic beta opt-in and the standard Warcraft beta opt-in. Participants will also need to have an active subscription or active game time on their Battle.net Account. While opting-in to the beta is the primary way to make sure you’re in the running to join the test it doesn’t guarantee an invitation to the closed beta test. We may also consider additional factors such as how long a player has been subscribed to the game so that we have the right mix of players to ensure great feedback toward making WoW Classic the very best experience for the community.

Nov 15 new player Hi, I started the game not long ago... questing has been fun but I must say it is a bit lonely running around in a massive map with no other players around. Is it only because no one is in the starting zone any more and the place will be more populated as I go to higher level zones? (This is coming from a Destiny player and basically every zone I go there are other players and most time at least if you emote at someone random they emote back... but in WoW it just doesn't feel social at all...) Also, I have just learned to ride a mount... is there free mounts that I can perhaps farm from enemies or do I just have to buy them from the trainer? Sorry for sounding cheap but I am not exactly swimming in gold... yet? Finally... dungeons... is it better if I start running dungeons now just to familiarize with group play in WoW or should I just keep on solo questing? I'm just worried that people will just leave the instance as soon as I say I'm new.. should I find a guild and run dungeons as a pre-made team just so I can actually learn from the experience? Otherwise I imagine people just speedrun the dungeons and I'll just end up getting completely lost... Sorry for having so many questions... there is so much to learn in this game!Wackyweasel4 Nov 15
Some quests in my guide are marked as "SKIP" and colored in red. These quests are simply either too hard to solo or not worth the XP/time and are skipped. My guide will only list SKIPPED quests if the quest is a direct follow up after completing a quest, not one that you have to click the NPC again to get it. If you hover over the skipped quests, it will give info on why it is skipped in the guide (unless that info is already listed directly in the guide text).
Thanks for bringing this question to our attention. Addons and their availability are a large part of what makes WoW great. Any addon that enhances your User Interface [UI] is totally okay, however, anything that automates your character's play [you can walk away from your computer and your character is still leveling, in combat, etc] is decidedly not okay and falls under exploitation and botting. If you are concerned at all or think the particular addon/guide may fall under that second category, for your safety, I recommend you just stay away from that one as violations of the Botting/Exploitation aspect of the Terms of Use is a bannable offense. If you have any questions about what might be considered automated play, I recommend you refer to the Terms of Use and follow them to the letter. You may find those Terms here: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/wow_tou.html.

Nov 6 Pet battle advice and leveling class Hi all. Been doing pet battling so far. I like it a lot. But I am not getting very much experience for my class Does the experience get better later on? I am a level 2 orc shaman with about 9 level 3 pets. I will keep leveling my pets but the experience feels very bad for my shaman levels. Any pet battle advice is welcome. Thanks. Also I have a few heirlooms and some gold.Goldshaman4 Nov 6
But how do you proportionally resize the swing? Even if you did, it wouldn’t give you the same type of joy as when you were a kid, because you have grown up and changed. Even if that wasn’t the case for you, you have to consider that the swing has become a place that is sacred for many other adults. When they visit, they aren’t visiting to try out the new adult-swing. They want to try the old swing. The one that brings back the joyful memories of distant past. They know that the experience isn’t the same, but if they close their eyes ... even for a brief moment ... they just might get that nostalgic thrill that brings them back to a time where things seemed so much simpler.
